 Today we:

-Continued to work on breaking apart run-on sentences. We practiced splitting them into two smaller sentences and using conjunction words to create longer compound sentences. We edited a piece of our writing looking for run-on sentences to share with our family during conferences this week.

-Explored the Book Fair in the Learning Commons. We circled books we were interested in our book fair sheet to share with you at home. We are so excited to explore the Book Fair with our families during conferences!

Hello NLS Families! Today was an exciting day as we went on our Field Trip to TELUS Spark! We had a chance to have a lesson about electricity where we got to test out many different devices, circuits, etc. We also got a chance to explore around the various indoor/outdoor exhibits, which was really amazing! Thank you so much to our volunteers! - we truly appreciate you! See some of the fun we had below!   In writing we finished our ending of our wetland story. Next class we will type our good copies.  In math we had a decimal and large number check in that included place value, different forms of the number, number lines and rounding to the nearest million, hundred thousand, ten thousand, thousand, hundred, ten, one, tenths, hundredths, thousandths.  Today a permission form is going home to be signed to participate in a hot chocolate science experiment. If you DO NOT wish for your child to drink the hot chocolate please fill out the slip below and return it as soon as possible.
