 Today we:

-Did a basic math fact check-in, these sheets will be send home on Wednesday. With the cuisenaire rods we did a math challenge to create equations equal to one whole. We filled in the shapes of numbers with cuisenaire rods and then showed our work to calculate the decimal value of each number shape.

-Did a reading response where we wrote about the book we are currently reading by answering question stems. Ask me about my book!

Hello NLS Families! Today we: tested the "rain gauge" weather instrument - we wanted to see how much rain fell at our school today, so we measured it all day long! It rained approximately 1.8cm during school hours - we left it out overnight, so will see if there is more rain in the morning! - see photos below did another survey and practiced making bar graphs and dot plots - ask me what question I surveyed people about! learned all about climate vs. weather  did a brain break drawing activity - see photo below learned more about Canada after confederation  finished The City of Ember - ask me about it!!
