 Hello NLS Families,

Today we:

  • did our morning meeting
  • did our word work
  • practiced serving for badminton in gym class
  • practiced math games, factors, multiples and prime and composite numbers
  • read a book called "I'm trying to love math"
  • did reading and literacy centres 
  • did a science reflection
  • began to write a descriptive paragraph about our favourite place in the world.

Hello NLS Families! Today was an exciting day as we went on our Field Trip to TELUS Spark! We had a chance to have a lesson about electricity where we got to test out many different devices, circuits, etc. We also got a chance to explore around the various indoor/outdoor exhibits, which was really amazing! Thank you so much to our volunteers! - we truly appreciate you! See some of the fun we had below!   In writing we finished our ending of our wetland story. Next class we will type our good copies.  In math we had a decimal and large number check in that included place value, different forms of the number, number lines and rounding to the nearest million, hundred thousand, ten thousand, thousand, hundred, ten, one, tenths, hundredths, thousandths.  Today a permission form is going home to be signed to participate in a hot chocolate science experiment. If you DO NOT wish for your child to drink the hot chocolate please fill out the slip below and return it as soon as possible.
