-Explored using cuisenaire rods to represent decimal numbers to tenths. We will be continuing this work next week, comparing and ordering decimal numbers using the rods.
Hello NLS Families! Today was an exciting day as we went on our Field Trip to TELUS Spark! We had a chance to have a lesson about electricity where we got to test out many different devices, circuits, etc. We also got a chance to explore around the various indoor/outdoor exhibits, which was really amazing! Thank you so much to our volunteers! - we truly appreciate you! See some of the fun we had below! Hello! Hope you had a great Wednesday. Today we: did our "morning meeting" and discussed the question of the day with our classmates did word work played a new game in gym class (we suggested a bunch of new names for it, but we don't know what Mr. Newton decided on yet) - but we practiced serving lots in it. had a virtual author visit! We joined in with 5000 other students to listen to a book called "Little Owl" by Teoni Spathelfer (a Canadian Author) - this author visit was also surrounding topics of bullying and pink shirt day. played a new math game practiced our basic facts and graphing in math today did observations about our borax crystal (its growing!) learned about types of paragraphs and began to write a persuasive paragraph about "the best food in the world"
